Willow Springs is published twice a year, in spring and fall. We accept manuscripts year-round, though you should expect delays in response time between June and September. In most cases, we respond within eight weeks, though we ask that you do not follow up on a submission unless it has been longer than four months since you sent it. We offer two complimentary copies for work we publish.
Willow Springs is now accepting online prose submissions (fiction and nonfiction only). To submit prose, you can sign in to our online system, where, in addition to submitting work, you can check the status of your submission, withdraw submissions if necessary, and save on postage. If you'd rather not submit work electronically, we continue to read manuscripts submitted by mail.
Please submit prose and poetry in separate envelopes. All manuscripts must be accompanied by an SASE with postage sufficient to return the submission or a response. Submitted work must be previously unpublished. We accept simultaneous submissions.
